The Durango High School Class of 1970 is still looking for a few classmates.

Almost all 300 graduates have been located. An additional 100 classmates have been invited who attended Durango schools and would have graduated in 1970. People who know of a graduate or anyone who would have graduated in 1970 are asked to call Alice Ferguson at 708-0219 or email [email protected].

The class reunion will take place Friday through Sunday. A free picnic will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Santa Rita Park. Anyone who went to DHS and would like to see 1970 graduates is welcome. Participants should bring their own food.

Children’s art camp stages productions

Alpine Bank and Durango Arts Center will present the Durango Arts Center Applause! performing art camp productions of “101 Dalmatians” and “Once on this Island, Jr.” at 1 p.m. Thursday, 1 and 7 p.m. Friday and 1 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $8.

Children ages 4 to 6 will re-create the Disney story of the 101 Dalmatians. Children from ages 11 to 16 produced “Once on this Island, Jr.,” which is based on the Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale, “The Little Mermaid.”

Durango Arts Center Applause! performing-arts education offers children an opportunity to unleash their creativity and bring their imagination to life through creative movement, speech, storytelling and character development. Theater games provide experience in collaboration, confidence and focus.

Fresh veggies return Thursday at FLC

The Old Fort Farm Stand will be open from 1 to 4 p.m. Thursday near the Fort Lewis College Student Union.

The stand will offer: spinach, mixed greens, romaine, arugula, curly kale, chard, radishes, snow peas, broccoli heads, zucchini, colored carrots, shishito peppers, jalapeño peppers, green beans, beets, yellow zucchini, garlic heads, basil, flat-leaf parsley, cilantro, basil pesto, cilantro pesto, arugula pesto, kale chips, dehydrated onions, zucchini bread, pumpkin bread, roasted green or poblano chiles, grass-fed beef and local pork.

Back to School Bash Friday in Ignacio

A Back to School Bash will take place from 8 to 11 p.m. Friday at the Southern Ute Museum, 77 County Road 517 in Ignacio.

The cost is $5 for singles and $8 for couples. The event is open to ages 13 to 18. Music will be provided by Big O.
