Marija Helt will lead a medicinal plant walk from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 16.

Participants should meet at the Elbert Creek trailhead at Needles Store, next to the corral.

There is a $20 suggested – but optional – donation.

Participants are encouraged to wear good footwear for the Elbert Creek crossing.

High Noon Rotary to hear about Tibet trip

The Durango High Noon Rotary Club will meet from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the DoubleTree Hotel, 501 Camino del Rio.

The cost for lunch is $15.

Ron Fogelman and Chris Strouthopolis will give an update on the Tibet trip.
