Community Development staff will host a public information meeting on condominiums at 3 p.m. Tuesday in City Council Chambers at Durango City Hall, 949 East Second Ave.
Some concern and confusion about the temporary moratorium for condominiums and what it means for specific neighborhoods and zones within the city has been reported. This information meeting is an opportunity for residents to ask questions and provide comments to staff pertaining to condominiums within the city of Durango. This meeting will be held before the City Council’s study session on condominiums that will begin at 4 p.m.
During the moratorium, city staff will draft amendments to the Land Use and Development Code to clarify how to handle condominiums. The City Council will ultimately need to approve any changes to the code.
