Durango Nature Studies will host a full moon hike under the Hunter’s Moon from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Greenmount Cemetery, 900 Cemetery Road.
The hike is free for members, and is $10 for nonmembers. Participants will learn about the natural history of the area through time, as well as the changes in local natural resource use through generations.

Trails 2000 to host public trailwork day
Trails 2000 will host a public trailwork day at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Overend Mountain Park.
Volunteers should meet at Leyden Trailhead to help install drainage features and fill in ruts on Star Wars Trail.
No experience is necessary.
Trails 2000 will provide tools, gloves, safety/instructional tool talk, water and snacks. The trailhead is located at the end of Leyden Street, where there will be a parked Trails 2000 truck. Volunteers should wear long pants, long-sleeved shirt, closed-toe shoes, sun hat, sunscreen and bring a water bottle and rain jacket.

Marvel grange to host community breakfast
A free community breakfast will take place from 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday at Marvel Grange Hall, 217 County Road 133A.
The menu will include pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage, juice and coffee. Marvel Junior Grange will have pumpkins available for decorating. Donations are appreciated.

Boulevard association holds annual meeting
The Boulevard Neighborhood Association, Inc. will meet from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at First Presbyterian Church, 1159 East Third Ave. for its annual meeting, potluck and Halloween celebration.
All East Third Avenue residents, including people renting homes or attending churches and schools on East Third Avenue are invited to this meet-and-greet and to join the nearly 30-year-old association committed to the preservation and protection of this historic neighborhood.
Association members will participate in the 2014-2015 year-in-review and elect two board members. Bring food to share. Coffee, cold beverages and place settings will be provided. Costumes are encouraged.

Children’s book club to meet at Library
The Inklings Book Club offers two groups for children – one for first- and second-graders and one for third- and fourth-graders.
