The 29th annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner will take place from 11 .am. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the La Plata County Fairgrounds, 2500 Main Ave.

Meals can be delivered or transportation can be provided to the dinner.

Help is needed for set-up, cooking, decorating, serving, delivering meals, providing rides and cleaning up.

To donate a pie for the dinner, drop it off at the fairgrounds on Thursday morning.

There is no charge for the dinner, but donations will be accepted. For people unable to attend but who would like to support the dinner, donations can be mailed to Durango Shared Ecumenical Ministries, 909 Spruce Drive, Durango, CO 81301.

Road Runner Transit announces schedule

Road Runner Transit Route buses will not operate Thursday and Friday in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.

Dial-A-Ride will operate from noon to 8 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Nov. 28.

All regular services will resume Nov. 30.
