The Durango Elks Lodge Veterans Committee will serve breakfast from 9 to 11 a.m. the first and third Sundays of the month at the Durango Elks Lodge, 901 East Second Ave.

Participants are asked to use the lodge’s Ninth Street entrance.

The cost is $5 for veterans and $6 for non-veterans.

Rotary club to meet Tuesday at Strater

At the Rotary Club of Durango meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Strater Hotel, 699 Main Ave., three Rotarians who have recently joined the club will talk about their careers, families and motivations for joining Rotary.

Rotary welcomes new members and invites those interested to attend this meeting.

Visitors are also welcome to attend.

Parents who lost child have support

The Compassionate Friends is a support group for parents whose child died, at any age, no matter how long ago.

The Durango chapter of TCF will meet from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at the First United Methodist Church, 2917 Aspen Drive.

TCF has no religious affiliation.
