Gathering of Southern Colorado Beekeepers will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Ska Brewing Co., 225 Girard St.

Among other things, discussion will include what to bring for the Bee Vacuum Workshop, which will be held at the March Gathering.

There is no cost for the workshop. Bring your own parts.

City Council events announced

The Durango City Council announces the following events:

A special City Council meeting will be held from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, in the North Conference Room of the Durango City Hall.

A special City Council session will be held from 5:30 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, in Smith Chambers at City Hall.

The City Council will meet from 6:30 to 8.30 p.m., Tuesday in Smith Chambers at City Hall.

Here to Hear: Office Hour with Councilor Dick White will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Thursday, in the North Conference Room in City Hall.

Marvel methodists hold benefit supper

The Marvel United Methodist Church will host its 48th annual Ground Hog Supper from 4 to 7 p.m., Saturday, at Marvel Grange Hall, 217 County Road 133A, Marvel.

The suggested donation is $7 for adults, $5 for children and $25 for a family. Proceeds go to the church’s outreach and building funds. Everyone is welcome. For more information, call 385-4500.
