The Durango Community After Prom Association is a nonprofit organization devoted to providing a fun and safe all-night event for Durango High School juniors and seniors to enjoy after prom.

Statistics show that prom night is the most dangerous night of the year for high school students, and since the After Prom event started, keeping kids safe is a goal attained every year.

This year, After Prom will be the night of April 23.

About 150 parents and community members are needed to transform the Durango Recreation Center into a safe, fun place to go after prom.

Volunteers are needed to plan the event, decorate and set up the rec center that night, staff a station during the event and clean up after the event.
