“Depression … Share the Secret” will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Sunlight and Windom rooms of the Durango Recreation Center, 2700 Main Ave.
Topics include reducing the stigma of depression, recognizing the symptoms of depression, lifestyle approaches to treat depression and local resources to support wellness. A light dinner will be provided from 5:15 to 5:30 p.m.
Panel members are Mark Fallon-Cyr, Stephanie Allred, Nicola St. Mary and Jenny Treanor, licensed professional counselor.
Wellness Opportunities for Women event date set
Local women who need self-care are invited to the first WOW! Retreat (Wellness Opportunities for Women) from noon to 5 p.m. March 20 at Durango Dance, 1120 Main Ave., No. 1.
The theme is, “Celebrate Spring and Explore Exotic India.” Women will enjoy a day of Zumba fitness, BollyX Indian dance fusion, introduction to belly dance, light lunch by Earth Girls Goodies, a speaker about Ayurveda and a speaker about embracing change. Creative play will include henna tattoos, mandala coloring, seed planting and beauty mini-consultations.

Fundraiser Durango Voice tickets now on sale
Manna Soup Kitchen announces that tickets are now on sale forits fundraiser The Durango Voice – similar to the popular TV show “The Voice.” Finalists will compete April 2 at the Henry Strater Theatre, 699 Main Ave.
Twelve local singers were chosen to advance to the finals competition. They will perform again after receiving a month of professional voice coaching from local coaches, including Jill Holly, Kevin Bell, Gary Penington and Linda Brice.
Finalists are: Alyssa Gomez, Anna Fenberg, Bob Thom, Bridgett Averill, Cara Keyser, Curtis Storm, Jade Robbins, Josh Hoffman, Kiersten Langford, Lisa Govreau, Sophie Hughes and Tilly Leeder.
Winners will receive prizes and confirmed singing engagements at establishments in Durango.

St. Patrick’s Day to be celebrated in Breen
The Breen Community Building Association will host its annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Breen Community Building, 15300 Colorado Highway 140.
The dinner menu includes chili, enchiladas, green salad and drinks. A baked goods auction will follow dinner. Cost of dinner is $7 for adults, $3 for children 12 and under and $25 for a family. Proceeds help to maintain the historic structure as a meeting place for community events and services. All are welcome.
