In his May 29 statement, Mueller indicated that the investigation did in fact find that Russian intelligence officers had launched an attack on our political system; he did not say or indicate that it was done in hopes of a Trump win.

Mueller also did not say that “there was abundant evidence of collusion with Russia,” and he certainly did not even suggest that collusion was a desire by Trump.

Mueller did not say that “Trump obstructed justice over 10 times,” or that “at least four of those acts are indictable.”

I’ve seen a number of article comments by the letter writer, Shan Wells, and although I don’t recall ever agreeing with any of them, I do respect his right of expression. However, the untruths in his June 20 letter appear to be intended to harm and mislead. And that, I do not respect.

The entire transcript of Robert Mueller’s May 29 statement is available online. Read it before letting a letter to the editor determine your opinion.
