Themes or slogans should be limited to 10 words or less and reflect the family and community focus that the fair exemplifies each year. Submissions should also be labeled with the resident’s name, mailing address and telephone number.

Artwork is encouraged and can be dropped off or mailed with theme submissions to the La Plata County Fairgrounds Extension Office, 2500 Main Ave. The community member who submits the winning entry will receive a $100 cash prize.

Submission deadline is 5 p.m. Feb. 22.

The 2018 La Plata County Fair will be held Aug. 8-12 at the fairgrounds.
