Scholarships are available to high school seniors who have been accepted as a full-time student at an accredited college and have a declared major related to agriculture, sciences or natural resources. Examples include environmental studies, sustainable food production, forestry, renewable energy and ecology.
Of the qualifying applicants, the district will award two students.
Applications are available at the district office, 31 Suttle St.; the La Plata County Fairgrounds, 2500 Main Ave.; or online at www.laplatacd.org.
Applications can be delivered to the district office or emailed in a PDF file format to [email protected]. The deadline for applications is 5 p.m. April 7.
