Presented by the Colorado Association of Conservation Districts, Camp Rocky is a weeklong camp, held July 9-15, for students who enjoy the outdoors and are in interested in natural resources.
Students work in teams and learn through hands-on experiences. They choose one of these resource fields to focus on: forest management; rangeland science; soil and water conservation; or fish and wildlife management. Students bunk in a cabin with eight other students and eat food supplied by the camp.
The La Plata Conservation District sponsors students and provides support with partial registration fees.
