“Internet Basics Part 1,” 1 p.m. Jan. 5. Participants will learn how to use a web browser to access the web and use search engines to find information.“Internet Basics Part 2,” 1 p.m. Jan. 12. Building on the skills from Part 1, participants will get more practice using search engines to find and evaluate information from trustworthy websites.“Introduction to Coding,” 10 a.m. Jan. 21. This class will explore concepts fundamental to every coding language, including Scratch, a visual coding environment, to learn how to declare variables, define loops and create conditionals.“Microsoft Publisher Basics,” 5:30 p.m. Jan. 26. Participants will learn how to use a template to create a business card easily, and how to edit and arrange text, images, fonts and colors to create a flier.
