hOurExchange is a “time bank.” It’s a way to give something others need and receive help when it is needed. No money changes hands and everyone’s time is valued equally, whether it’s housecleaning, fixing a car, teeth cleaning, sharing knowledge or helping with a move.

A Time Bank differs from old-fashioned trading because people offer something to one person or organization this week, and the hours are “banked,” and then that person may take something they need from a different person or organization at a later date. There are currently 80 members.
