In 1966, Dictator Nicolae Ceausescu of Romania banned all access to reproductive health care. Years later, crime spiked.

Young males enter a criminal prime in their late teens. Sixteen to 30 years after the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision, violent crimes fell by 30 percent in the 1990s.

Since 2000, George W. Bush and Republicans have waged a ban on women’s access to health care. Cities are now noticing a rise in violent crime. Coincidence?

Why do Republicans do this? After easing off on the disastrous and unjust “war on drugs,” how can they keep their very lucrative prison industrial complex filled?

The Bush family profits from the Keefe prison commissary industry. Mitch McConnell profits multi-millions of tax-free dollars with his Vanguard money market fund, which is heavily invested in the prison industries.

Republicans deny women free self-governing citizenship and slash nutrition and education programs for 22 percent to 36 percent of our children.

Their policy is programmed failure to farm cheap or slave labor for profit for corporations and themselves. Republican policies force women into their “broodmare” corrals for cheap labor incubators, ensuring we will have more criminals to lock up in years to come, and more profit for corporations and Republicans. The current Republican platform calls for defunding Planned Parenthood and for reinstating “stop and frisk,” to appear “tough on crime.”

Will you sit around allowing Republicans to force their patriarchal religious domination over American women in opposition to our First Amendment?

In 1989, the population of Romania, led by unruly youth, who had been forced by Ceausescu into hunger and being unwanted, rebelled and executed the dictator and his wife.
