Work on the U.S. Highway 550 realignment project near Farmington Hill is in full swing Wednesday, as seen from an Alpine Heli Tours helicopter. The new lanes, which will connect with the Grandview interchange, are being constructed on the east side of the existing Highway 550 lanes. The construction is causing minimal impacts to travel. The speed limit is 40 mph through the area, and vehicles are stopped occasionally near County Road 220, where there can be heavy truck traffic.
