I very much agree with the idea that there needs to be new infrastructure and innovation, and new leadership, in Durango, but the statement that “Brainstorm was involved in the first efforts to bring high-speed Internet to Durango” is not right. Frontier Internet, run by Jonathon Dasteel, was in Durango at least four or five years before that. (Starting in about 1995 or so.) There are still some people in Durango who have their email addresses ending in frontier.net. Brainstorm eventually bought Frontier Internet’s business.
