FLC scored better than many prominent schools, including Texas A&M University Corpus-Christi (453) and its Grand Junction neighbor Colorado Mesa University (460). Public colleges in Colorado also did well, including Colorado School of Mines (83), University of Colorado-Boulder (174), and Colorado State University (258).
First place went to the California Institute of Technology, which boasts an average SAT score of 1535, with Princeton, Harvard and Yale universities sharing second place with average SAT scores of 1500.
