The fireworks will conclude a community celebration downtown Durango that will start at 11 a.m. with a parade on Main Avenue. Festivities will continue at 3 p.m. in the parking lot of Durango Transit Center, 250 W. Eighth St., until Durango Fire Protection District launches fireworks from Greenmount Cemetery.
The event will honor veterans, acknowledge first-responders of the Lightner Creek Fire and feature activities for kids, food, a beer garden and live music by the Cannondolls.
