This anti-health care plan is so bad that the president has decided to delay many of the conditions of the act. The out-of-pocket caps caused so much havoc at colleges that Lenoir-Rhyn University in North Carolina has seen an increase of its student insurance coverage from $245 to a whopping $2,507. Welcome to government-run health care! Other colleges have just dropped insurance coverage. The delay in the out-of-pocket caps is because, as stated by a senior administration official, “We had to balance the interests of consumers with the concerns of health plan sponsors and carriers … They asked for more time to comply.”
Exactly how is it in consumers’ interests to pay far more for health insurance than they already do? We now know unions are receiving waivers. We know the employers are cutting employees’ hours to part time just to get out from under the weight of government-run health care costs. Do we not learn from history at all? Detroit is the crown jewel of the Democratic dream of a social utopia – 50 years under the rule of Democrats who believed in social equality over free market capitalism. It didn’t end well for Detroit, and this is not going to end well for America if we let this stand. Fight against this leviathan called “free” health care. There is no such thing!
