Bumper-to-bumper traffic continued Wednesday afternoon on Main Avenue as gas-line work closed the center and one northbound lane. Atmos Energy is upgrading utility lines under the road. The left northbound lane will remain closed through Monday. The Colorado Department of Transportation said traffic backups will occur on northbound Main, on Camino del Rio and on westbound 14th and 15th streets and Park Avenue at Main. CDOT is encouraging drivers to take alternate routes if possible.
