Faith arrived at the shelter on Sept. 20 suffering from starvation described by Director of Animal Protection Jon Patla as “one of the worst” cases he had ever seen.
She is now up to around 30 pounds, about 20 pounds away from an average weight, said Director of Animal Service Chris Nelson. But her most important transformation has been in her attitude – from skittish to friendly.
While many people rallied around Faith and offered to adopt her, Nelson can’t imagine a better home for her than with a veterinarian who can monitor her recovery.
“I can’t think of better situation for her,” he said.
The public can continue to follow Faith’s recovery on the shelter’s Facebook page.
