Grace Preparatory Academy congratulates student, Trevor Jordan on his success at the state science fair.
He placed second in the engineering and transportation division, winning a certificate, a medallion and $100. From American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Jordan was awarded a mini iPad. From Lockheed Martin, he was awarded $100. From the U.S. Airforce, he was awarded a backpack filled with electronics.
Katie Marie Cunnion earns High Scholar honor
Katie Marie Cunnion of Durango was among University of Nebraska-Lincoln undergraduate students honored in conjunction with the university’s All-University Honors Convocation on April 13.
Students are recognized for their cumulative academic achievements.
Cunnion is a freshman in exploratory and pre-professional programs and will be recognized as a High Scholar.
High Scholars are in the top 10 percent of their class.

Rachel Rossi speaks in Denver
Rachel Rossi, a senior at Durango High School, gave a TED talk April 16 in Denver.
Rossi will attend the International Science Fair in May and just competed at the state science fair.
