Diane West Jewelry & Art, 820 Main Ave., has four local jewelers who work in-house on wedding and engagement rings. And owner Diane West joins them in the work.
“I’m a self-taught jeweler, so a lot of the jewelry is mine in the gallery,” she said. “I do a lot of the custom work myself.”
West said that along with custom jewelry, the gallery also shows contemporary art – representing 25 artists, and about half of them are local.
“Our focus is really contemporary art,” she said. “We really specialize in contemporary art and abstract fine art.”
West, who has lived in Durango for 18 years, said that her gallery offers customers a personal touch.
“I think that’s one of the things that people really love about our gallery; they get to come in and meet the artist, work with us directly to create something really special – a truly custom, one-of-a-kind wedding ring” she said.
