La Plata County residents can tune in and see Sarah Shedd navigate “deals” and “zonks” on the long-running CBS program at 10 a.m. Tuesday on KREZ-TV, Channel 13.

Since its revival in 2009, “Let’s Make a Deal” has been hosted by celebrity Wayne Brady.

The original, more famous version of “Let’s Make a Deal” was broadcast from 1963 to 1977 on NBC and then ABC and hosted by Monty Hall.

In 2001, TV Guide listed “Let’s Make a Deal” 18th on its seminal list of “The 50 Greatest Game Shows of All Time,” roundly beating tough rival “Hollywood Squares,” which came in 19th.

TV Guide described the show’s electric format as one in which, “Contestants, often dressed in costume, trade common objects for what’s behind the curtain.”

Perennial game show heavyweight “Jeopardy!” came in second on TV Guide’s list, while “The Price is Right,” the longest-running televised game show in history, nabbed first.
