Inspired in large measure by the lifetime support of Beverly Darmour, a longtime board member, the board is now accepting nominations from the public for the inaugural distinction. The board seeks to honor, through this award, an individual or individuals for outstanding service and commitment to the library. In doing so, it is hoped that this annual award will continue to inform and inspire citizens to support the library through their volunteer efforts, patronage, and other support.

Nominations are being accepted through the month of May. The winner will be announced in September during a reception at the library.
