Durango native Jared Thompson is promoted in Army

Chief warrant officer 5 is the highest warrant officer rank in the Army, and Thompson is one of only five experimental test pilots holding this rank.

Thompson’s wife, Josephine, was also promoted, achieving the rank of colonel. With this promotion, Josephine Thompson is the active Army’s second most senior MEDEVAC acquisitions officer.
