Durango Inn death determined to be suicide

An autopsy found helium asphyxiation caused the death, she said. He rented a helium tank from a local shop.

Jeffrey Reid of Virginia was found by hotel staff members Sunday afternoon, and his identity was not released until the family could be notified.

Reid, 57, had been staying at the inn for about a week.
