Apparently, Mr. Kerr believes that if your vehicle has an out-of-state license plate, you should be allowed to park wherever you see fit because you might be a tourist spending money in Durango.
The overly lengthy “opinion” piece fails to make a valid point, except that the practice of enforcing parking laws may occasionally rub someone the wrong way, and they will then decide to never come back to Durango to “drop $50 at a local restaurant.”
Well Larry, if getting your 50 bucks means that we all have to maneuver around your Chevy dually, it ain’t worth it.
Don’t come back to Durango; guess you showed us, right?
And why in the world would the Herald make this their front-and-center article on the Opinion page? (Although I must admit it was much more entertaining than the two-page Travel section article on the charms of Pueblo).
