The point is that a cross can mean anything, not just a religious symbol. In this case, it is a life lost. And 19,000 children’s lives lost each day are significant. The perpetrator(s) of this stupid misdeed should be ashamed. The community should stand up and challenge this mischief and tell the perpetrator(s) that this kind of misguided intolerance is not acceptable in our community. The community should also stand up and applaud the many who put lots of work and effort into this undertaking. The purpose was to raise awareness of the problem so we might reach in our wallets and send a few dollars to help eliminate this problem. It’s a worthy project. I don’t care if you are religious or not.

Are you happy with 19,000 child deaths each day (more than 250,000 since the crosses were removed until this writing)? Have a few dollars to spare? I suggest the World Hunger Fund or Compassion International or pick your own. You’ll be glad you did.
