Surely, there must be at least one conservative Herald reader who could write a reasonably original letter that doesn’t amount to merely repeating right-wing nonsense that the Herald could print, too. How refreshing would that be? Honestly thought-out ideas that are rooted in reality. Are intelligent letters from conservatives so rare that all we get is the nonsense? Honest, fact-based debate is good for our nation. Nonsense-talk is destructive. I challenge the Herald’s conservative readers to offer something for debate that they didn’t hear first on the Fox/Limbaugh networks. I also challenge them to honestly ask themselves if they truly believe all that nonsense or if they believe it all because it is so easy to believe in simple solutions to complex problems. Lastly, I challenge them to stop being tools for the ultra-wealthy, right-wing media machine and to think for themselves and stop voting against their own self interest.
