A conversation I had with one of the midwives we worked with prompted this discussion. She told me only about 1 percent of families choose home birth and this statistic baffles me!

Especially as a Christian, home birth is even more appealing – the most wholesome, trusting and natural way to accept God’s gift to you! I wonder if families in La Plata County knew more about it, or knew a highly trained Christian midwife whom they trusted, would more of them choose home birth?
