All three commissioners, representing members from both major political parties, voted in favor. This resolution was made necessary by ongoing efforts by some to transfer our federal lands into state and private hands where they would not retain the conservation protections and public access for hunting, hiking and other recreational pursuits that we all now enjoy. Thank you again commissioners Brad Blake, Gwen Lachelt and Julie Westendorff for taking this important stand for our public lands.
