So here’s a big thank you to all who advocated for a Public Lands Day, and to our state senator, Ellen Roberts, who supported the bipartisan bill that made this holiday possible.

But shame on you, J. Paul Brown, for voting against Public Lands Day. Brown apparently doesn’t seem to care much for our public lands, even though he represents some of the most beautiful open spaces in the country and lots of people, like you and me, who love them. What J. Paul Brown does care about, though, is getting re-elected. Remember his unwillingness to support public lands and his vote against our new state holiday this November.
