However, a commercial vendor has yet to be selected to provide and manage the wireless Internet service.

The city also is considering extending this service beyond the parking meters to provide free Wi-Fi access for foot traffic and patrons of adjacent downtown businesses, according to a Durango Business Improvement District news release.

Durango BID has created a survey for feedback.
