City administrative offices will be closed Thursday and Friday including offices at City Hall, River City Hall, Airport, Transit Center, Recreation Center and Greenmount Cemetery.
The Recreation Center and Chapman Hill will be closed Thursday, but both will be open regular hours on Friday. The Mason Center will be closed Monday through Nov. 27. There will be no classes during this time.
The Durango Public Library will close at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday and will be closed Thursday and Friday. The library will reopen Saturday. The Fort Lewis Mesa and Sunnyside branches will be closed the entire week of Nov. 21 in conjunction with Durango School District 9-R break.
The Durango-La Plata County Airport will be open as normal with regularly scheduled commercial service throughout the Thanksgiving weekend. The airport administration office will be closed Thursday and Friday.
Durango Transit will not operate on Thursday. On Friday, two citywide buses (Route 6) will operate from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. There will be no evening bus on Thursday or Friday, but it will run Monday through Wednesday. The trolley will operate normal hours on Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and one Opportunity Bus will operate. The Transit Center and Parking cashier window will be closed Thursday and Friday.
There will be no commercial or residential trash or recycling service on Thursday. Thursday’s commercial trash and recycling will be picked up the next day, Friday. Thursday’s residential curbside trash will be picked up Friday. Thursday’s residential curbside recycling will be picked up the following Thursday, Dec. 1.
The Recycle Center will be closed Thursday and Friday and will reopen on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
There will be free parking at the meters in the downtown area Thursday.
