With many people struggling nationwide with decreased hours or loss of jobs entirely, demand for assistance with basic needs has increased. Recently, a new home delivery program was implemented to better assist those families in more rural areas who may be struggling with transportation.
The Durango Food Bank saw a 110% increase in the number of people served in Jun 2020 compared with the same time last year. Nearly 30,000 pounds of food is now being distributed to families and seniors in need each month
