The Southwest Colorado Small Business Development Center, the Dolores Chamber of Commerce and the Dolores State Bank will sponsor a workshop, Introduction to Quickbooks from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 25 at the Dolores Public Library, 1002 Railroad Ave., in Dolores.

This workshop, taught by certified Quickbooks adviser Bethany McManus, will help small business owners understand how much money they are bringing in and how they are spending it. Topics will include: how to get through the set-up process, creating an effective chart of accounts, small-business accounting 101, strategies for managing cash flow, how to make bill paying less painful and strategies for getting paid faster.

Participants are asked to bring a brown bag lunch.

Mosher joins Mumbling Marmot Tutoring

Tracey Mosher has joined Mumbling Marmot Tutoring serving the Bayfield area as a tutor specializing in math and science, public speaking, academic coaching and cognitive skills.

She has a degree in civil engineering from Colorado State University, and worked for eight years in the fields of mechanical and civil engineering, was a math and engineering tutor at Fort Lewis College, and is a community partner of Engineers Without Borders.

Mumbling Marmot Tutoring provides private tutoring services in reading, writing, and math K-college; test preparation; learning differences; languages; economics; study skills; gifted/talented enrichment; and cognitive training.
