I first received a hunting license through this facility. I have and will continue to have hunting privileges in La Plata County, Colorado, United States of America. Yes, the USA!
I was a member of the NRA from Boy Scouts and until the ’70s when the NRA fought and defeated bills restricting the sale of “Saturday Night Specials” (cheap pistols) and later, a bill that would have stopped the manufacturing and use of armor-piercing ammunition for handguns. Punks can still buy $20 pistols, and serious felons can still buy cop-killing ammo to fire up to 20 rounds from their semiautomatic handgun. However, if you live in Mexico or Detroit, I’ll cut you some slack for home protection.
I am still a serious gun enthusiast, but I do not believe you need 30 rounds (or more) to kill a deer or some hapless drunk teenager who rattles your door – that is, unless you are a member of the local Gun Club and want to hunt children and teachers in an elementary school.
Hey Durango, this may not be as important as the “bag” issue, but you may want to consider saving your tax dollars and bulldoze the club to make a safe place for families to play!
