The Times-Call of Longmont reported the plan gives farmers leasing county land until 2020 to phase out GM corn crops.

GM beat crops would be phased out by 2022.

People can learn more at a 6 p.m. meeting Oct. 24 at Boulder County’s Park and Open Space Department headquarters.

The Parks and Open Space Advisory Committee and Boulder county commissioners will also hold public hearings on the proposal.
