The Gallup Independent reports the bodies of former Gallup Sun reporter Naomi Chan and Richard Boss were found June 30 and that police said there was no indication of foul play.

Police Lt. Erin Toadlena-Pablo said Boss had died in Washington state and that his body was released to Chan to take to New Mexico for burial but that never happened.

According to Toadlena-Pablo, Boss’ body was lying on top of a tarp and partially covered by it.

Toadlena-Pablo said autopsies were planned to determine causes of death.

A police report said a caretaker last saw Chan alive on June 25 or 26.
