Valencia, a sixth grader at BMS, travelled to CU Denver on Saturday, March 11, to represent Bayfield at the Colorado State Spelling Bee. He was the winner of the BMS spelling bee in February, and represented his school very well as he competed against the best spellers in the state of Colorado, noted Roxanne Henderson, the gifted and talented coordinator for Bayfield schools.
