For local shoppers who can’t wait for Black Friday, some major retailers in Durango are starting their sales on Thanksgiving.

Walmart, Sears and Office Depot will all open at 6 p.m. today.

JCPenney will open at 3 p.m.

Several major big-box stores will be closed, including Pier 1 Imports, T.J. Maxx, Home Depot, GameStop and Bed, Bath and Beyond.
