To achieve that goal, the two of them bake up a storm every Friday and have been selling the fresh products in front of Mystic Beauty Salon on 100 W. Mill St. the past two weekends. The business is owned by family friend Melody Mylroie.
Mom takes the culinary honors for creating the wide variety of the sweet breads offered, but Makaelah says, “I made all the cookies.”
Makaelah’s chance to go to the Future Medical Leaders conference began with a nomination by Drew Cleland, her teacher for the Introduction to Health Science class at BHS.
For those who can’t get to downtown Bayfield on bake sale days to help Makaelah’s cause, Kimberlee can be reached at (505) 486-1463. Arrangements can be made to get customers in touch with some tasty treats.
