Garcia began rehabilitating 22 tortured pit bulls from Michael Vick’s Bad Newz Kennels in 2008. He bonded with the dog “Georgia,” and the pair appeared in The New York Times and on the “Ellen DeGeneres Show,” “Larry King Live,” and the second season of “DogTown.”
