If I forget my bag or if they are dirty and I don’t want to risk exposing anyone to the plague, I put my purchases back in the cart and wheel them to my car. This “I want what I want when I want it” mentality is that of a 2-year-old. The era of selfish indulgence needs to be over and one of being responsible, for at least some of our actions, is overdue. A plastic bag, here or there, seems minor, but it really adds up, and I’m not talking about dimes. This is not just what we do, it is also the example that we set. So wipe away those crocodile tears with a clean cotton bag, be a good person, and do the right thing.
