Twenty-two Bayfield Wolverines and four Ignacio Bobcats have reached the ultimate stage of high school track and field.

Bayfield will bring a loaded team to the Colorado High School Activities Association Class 3A state track and field meet at Jefferson County Stadium in Lakewood this Thursday through Saturday. Meanwhile, Class 2A Ignacio has a small but strong squad ready to make a leap toward podiums.

Both squads are loaded with pole vaulters. Bayfield is also strong in the throwing events and relays, while Ignacio has a talented pair of sprinters.
