Bayfield Convenience Center collects dry, brown yard waste, such as tree trimmings, slash and tree trunks up to 8 inches in diameter, to be periodically mulched and offered to residents free of charge.

The center also offers recycling services, and accepts green, brown and clear glass, newspaper, aluminum, tin cans, and car batteries. Residents are asked to separate glass by color, remove lids and flatten tin cans at the open end before they drop off items to be recycled. The transfer station will be closed while staff loads mulch into vehicles.

Opening hours are: 1-6 p.m. Monday; 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Tuesday; 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Thursday; 1-6 p.m. Saturday.

Services are not available Sunday, Wednesday and Friday.
