Western-swing legends Asleep at the Wheel will return to the Community Concert Hall, 1000 Rim Drive, for a show at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. The nine-time Grammy award-winning band, which typically features 6-11 musicians, has been churning out classic-style swing since the early ’70s and is widely credited with keeping this genre of music alive and thriving. Band founder Ray Benson will be joined by David Sanger on drums, David Earl Miller on bass and Eddie Rivers on steel guitar, along with newer members Katie Holmes on fiddle and Emily Gimble on piano. Tickets to the show are $24-$34 and are available at www.durangoconcerts.com or at the ticket office inside the Welcome Center at the corner of Eighth Street and Main Avenue. The dance floor will be open – so wear your dancing shoes.
